With Love from the DRR Conference – 2
This is the second report of the “With Love from the DRR Conference” series.
Let’s hear what they have to say.
Ms.Hiroe Handa, a NPO member from Sendai city, said, “It is also important to learn DRR in order to protect yourself. I want to live my daily life in a tranquil state, but also keep my cool even when a disaster happens.” He also added he learned many things.
Ms.Michiko Abe, NPO member from Sendai city, said, “I am honored to be a part of such opportunity here in Sendai, where people from around the world come together as one, to think about disaster prevention. I hope this becomes a trigger to revisit DRR.”This must be a common desire embraced by many of the citizens living in the host city.
Next is a message from the NPO “International Volunteer University Student Association (IVUSA ) ”.
We came to Sendai for the “Student Volunteer Conference for disasters”, which will be held on the 15th and 16th.
We are looking for students who can attend the conference tomorrow and onwards. Please feel free to come and join us if you are interested.

It was encouraging to know that a lot of university students like us are coming over.
As many people were saying “Sendai is very cold!”, it made us realize that many are traveling from distant locations.
To my fellow students, why not participate in the event hosted by “the International Volunteer University Student Association”?
